A Football coach died when shot fired at Youth Football game on Saturday at Lancaster, Texas. As per social media post by family and friends his name identified as Mike Hickmon. Video has been surfaced around the social media shows multiple referees tried to calm the angry man on field. But they fail to calm them down. Later multiple shots can be heard in the background.
One post by a woman says, " I dont even want to make this post Kenyetta Hickmon was the best track coach we had at Maceo 20 years ago and guess who was right by her side Mike Hickmon!!! Man we just some lil girls from the hood with talent! I never went to track practice just use to show up and run! Mike took me off to the side and gave me real technical training and they turned us into beast! We advanced to Regionals in Denton and since he went to UNT he showed us all around the campus took us out the hood and showed us something different!! My first time ever being on a College Campus!!! And peep this FOR FREE HE WASNT ON THE STAFF THIS MAN VOLUNTEERED HE ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT THE KIDS!!! 20 years later him and Coach still together! Just a good example of a real good family man!!!!"
Many more people have been going to social media to express their sorrow while also showing gratitude for the coach who made a difference in their life.
Police said there is an active warrant for the arrest of a man.
