Wo is Salman Rushdie?

His full name is Sir Ahmed Salman Rushdie born 19 June 1947 is an Indian-born British-American novelist. He was born in Bombay.

Salman Rushdie worked as a copywriter in an advertising agency. Laywr he wrote Midnight's Children, before becoming a full-time writer. Salman Rushdie's first novel is Grimus (1975) a science fiction. His second novel is Midnight's Children, which gave him name and fame. This won him the 1981 Booker Prize and, in 1993 and 2008, was awarded the Best of the Bookers.

Then Rushdie wrote Shame (1983) which is based on political turmoil in Pakistan. This novel Shame won France's Prix du Meilleur Livre Étranger (Best Foreign Book).

Johnny Depp will direct first movie in 25 Years with Al Pacino, barry Navidi. This will be his second directorial movie after 1997's "The Brave," starring himself and Marlon Brando. He will co produce with Al Pacino and Barry Navidi.
